  1. What is volume?
    Is the quantity of space that an object takes.

    Rectangular Block   V=length*width*height
    Cylinder  V=p*radius*Height
  3. What is the common unit of measuring volumes of liquids? liter
  4. How do we read the volume of a liquid in a cylinder?
    The volume reading is always taken level with the flat part of meniscus (liquid surface).
  5. How do we measure the volume of an irregular object?
    The object can be lowered into a partly filled measuring cylinder.  The rise in level on the volume scale gives the volume of the solid.
  6. What is density?
    Density is the amount of mass per unit volume.  Mathematically, density=mass divided by volume.
